Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Groopay, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Service Description
Groopay helps small groups track and split shared expenses. It supports group management, expense entry, balance calculation, settlement tracking, and multiple currencies for record-keeping.
Groopay does not transfer money, provide banking services, or create legally binding debt instruments.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for the accuracy and security of your account information.
- You must not use another person's account without authorization.
- Groopay is not intended for anyone under 13.
4. Free and Pro Plans
The free plan includes core expense and balance features with a limit on groups created. Groopay Pro is a recurring monthly subscription that provides unlimited group creation and advanced dashboard and analytics features.
Subscriptions are managed by the app store. They renew automatically unless canceled through your store account. Canceling preserves access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by the applicable store's policies.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of the group and expense information you enter. You grant Groopay permission to store and process that information only as needed to provide the service. You must not submit unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or harmful content.
6. Prohibited Uses
- Fraud, deception, money laundering, or other illegal activity
- Unauthorized access to other users' data
- Attempts to bypass security controls or disrupt the service
- Harassment, abuse, or misuse of other users' information
7. Service Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, third-party outages, or unexpected technical issues may temporarily affect availability.
8. Limitation of Liability
Groopay is a calculation and record-keeping tool, not a financial adviser or payment intermediary. Users remain responsible for agreements and disputes within their groups. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Groopay is not liable for indirect losses arising from service interruption, data loss, or user-entered information.
9. Account Deletion
You may permanently delete your account from Account → Delete My Account inside the app. Account deletion cannot be undone.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The latest version and effective date will be published on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Courts in İzmir, Türkiye have jurisdiction where permitted by applicable law.
